1. Overview

MeasureMate - Measure Anytime is an Android utility app that turns your phone into a handy measurement toolkit. It uses your device's built-in sensors and camera to help you measure length, check angles and corners, use a spirit level, determine ring size, and more — all without needing an internet connection.

The app is designed for local, offline use. All measurement tools function entirely on your device without requiring an account or cloud connectivity.

Important: MeasureMate contains ads and may use third-party services for advertising or Google Play purchases. Those services may process information as described in their own privacy policies. The final policy should be checked against the exact SDKs and features included in the released app.

2. Information handled by the app

MeasureMate is a sensor-based utility tool. It does not collect or transmit your measurement data to any server. The app may handle or store the following on your device:

  • Real-time readings from device sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, camera) used to perform measurements such as length, angle, level, and ring size.
  • Measurement results or history that you choose to save within the app, if a save feature is provided.
  • App preferences, such as your selected unit system (metric or imperial) or theme.
  • Purchase status needed to determine whether ads should be removed.

MeasureMate does not require your name, contacts, or an account login to use any measurement tool. Sensor data is processed in real time on your device solely to compute measurement results and is not stored or shared beyond what is described in this policy.

3. Device sensors and permissions

To provide its measurement features, MeasureMate may access the following device capabilities:

  • Camera — used for tools that require visual measurement, such as length estimation using augmented reality or object sizing. Camera frames are processed on-device in real time and are not captured, stored, or transmitted.
  • Accelerometer & Gyroscope — used for the spirit level and angle/corner measurement tools to detect device orientation and tilt.
  • Magnetometer (Compass) — used where directional or orientation information is needed to assist measurement.

Permissions are requested only as needed for specific tools. Sensor data is used exclusively to compute on-screen measurement results and is not logged, stored persistently, or shared with third parties by the app.

4. Local storage and offline use

Any saved measurements and app preferences are intended to be stored locally on your Android device. The core app does not require a MeasureMate account or cloud sync to function.

Because data is stored on your device, clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app will erase any saved measurements or preferences. The app cannot recover locally stored data for you.

All measurement tools are fully functional offline. Features that require an internet connection, such as purchasing the ad-free version, are noted separately.

5. Advertising

MeasureMate displays ads in the free version. The advertising provider may collect or receive information such as advertising identifiers, app interactions, device information, approximate location derived from network information, or diagnostic data, subject to the provider's setup and your device settings.

Advertising providers may use information to deliver, measure, or personalize ads, as permitted by applicable law and your choices. Review the privacy policy and data safety information of the advertising provider used in the released app.

If the app's advertising setup changes, this policy and the app's Google Play Data safety disclosures should be updated to match.

6. Remove Ads purchases

MeasureMate may offer a one-time purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed by Google Play. MeasureMate does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Google Play may process purchase details and account information to complete, manage, and restore purchases under Google's terms and privacy policy. The app may check purchase status to enable the ad-free experience.

Purchase and restoration features require an internet connection and may not be available offline. All core measurement tools are designed to work offline.

For more information, review Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Sharing and disclosure

MeasureMate does not upload your measurement data, sensor readings, or camera frames to any developer server. All measurement processing happens locally on your device.

Information may be processed by third-party providers when you use features they support, such as advertising or Google Play purchases. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or where necessary to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud.

This section must be updated if the released app adds analytics, crash reporting, or other services that transmit data.

8. Data retention and deletion

Any saved measurements or preferences stored locally remain on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. You can delete saved measurements within the app where those controls are available.

Third-party providers may retain information they process according to their own policies and legal obligations. Deleting local app data does not necessarily delete information already held by Google Play or an advertising provider.

9. Security

MeasureMate uses Android's app storage mechanisms to keep its local data within the app's storage area. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. Protect your device with a screen lock and keep Android and the app updated.

Anyone with access to your unlocked device or app data may be able to view measurements saved in MeasureMate.

10. Children's privacy

MeasureMate is a general utility tool and is not designed specifically for children. The app does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party feature, contact us using the details below.

Before publishing, confirm the app's intended age group and that the advertising setup complies with applicable child privacy and Google Play Families requirements, if relevant.

11. Third-party services

Google Play and any advertising provider included in the released app operate under their own terms and privacy policies. MeasureMate does not control how those providers process information. Check the app's Google Play listing for the current Data safety disclosures.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app changes or when legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page, with the effective date updated accordingly. Please review it from time to time.
