1. Overview
2048: Evolution is an Android puzzle game inspired by the classic 2048 tile-merging gameplay. The game offers two modes: Classic Mode, where you merge tiles at your own pace to reach the 2048 tile and beyond, and Time Bound Challenge Mode, where you race against a countdown timer to achieve the highest score possible.
The game is designed for local, offline play. Core gameplay features — including both game modes, best scores, and app preferences — are intended to work entirely on your device without requiring an account.
Important: 2048: Evolution may use third-party services for advertising or Google Play purchases. Those services may process information as described in their own privacy policies. The final policy should be checked against the exact SDKs and features included in the released app.
2. Information handled by the app
Depending on the features you use, 2048: Evolution may store the following information on your device:
- Your best scores and game statistics for Classic Mode and Time Bound Challenge Mode.
- Your current or saved game state (e.g., board layout and score in progress).
- App preferences, such as your selected theme or sound settings.
- Purchase status needed to determine whether ads should be removed.
2048: Evolution does not require your name, contacts, or an account login to play. No personally identifiable information is collected by the game itself to enable core gameplay features.
3. Local storage and offline use
Your game progress, best scores, and app preferences are intended to be stored locally on your Android device. The core game does not require an account or cloud sync to save and resume your progress.
Because game data is stored on your device, uninstalling the app, clearing its app data, or losing or resetting your device may erase your scores and saved progress. Unless a separate backup feature is provided, 2048: Evolution cannot recover locally stored game data for you.
Both Classic Mode and Time Bound Challenge Mode are designed to be fully playable offline. Features that require an internet connection, such as purchasing the ad-free version, are noted separately.
4. Advertising
The free version of 2048: Evolution may display ads. If advertising is enabled, the advertising provider may collect or receive information such as advertising identifiers, app interactions, device information, approximate location derived from network information, or diagnostic data, subject to the provider's setup and your device settings.
Advertising providers may use information to deliver, measure, or personalize ads, as permitted by applicable law and your choices. Review the privacy policy and data safety information of the advertising provider used in the released app.
If the app's advertising setup changes, this policy and the app's Google Play Data safety disclosures should be updated to match.
5. Remove Ads purchases
2048: Evolution may offer a one-time purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed by Google Play. 2048: Evolution does not receive or store your full payment card details.
Google Play may process purchase details and account information to complete, manage, and restore purchases under Google's terms and privacy policy. The app may check purchase status to enable the ad-free experience.
Purchase and restoration features require an internet connection and may not be available offline. All core gameplay features in both Classic Mode and Time Bound Challenge Mode are designed to work offline.
For more information, review Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Data retention and deletion
Game data and preferences stored locally remain on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. You can reset your scores or game state within the app where those controls are available.
Third-party providers may retain information they process according to their own policies and legal obligations. Deleting local app data does not necessarily delete information already held by Google Play or an advertising provider.
8. Security
2048: Evolution uses Android's app storage mechanisms to keep its local data within the app's storage area. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. Protect your device with a screen lock and keep Android and the app updated.
Anyone with access to your unlocked device or app data may be able to view game data stored in 2048: Evolution.
9. Children's privacy
2048: Evolution is a casual puzzle game suitable for a general audience. The game does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If advertising is enabled, ensure the advertising setup complies with applicable child privacy laws and Google Play Families requirements before publishing.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party feature integrated into the app, contact us using the details below.
10. Third-party services
Google Play and any advertising provider included in the released app operate under their own terms and privacy policies. 2048: Evolution does not control how those providers process information. Check the app's Google Play listing for the current Data safety disclosures.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app changes or when legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page, with the effective date updated accordingly. Please review it from time to time.
